Composition:
Each ml contains Timolol Maleate BP equivalent to Timolol 5 mg.
Description:
Timolol is a beta blocker, used in the reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) by decreasing the production of aqueous humour.
Indications and usage:
Ocular hypertension, chronic open angel glaucoma, aphakic glaucoma.
Contraindications:
Bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, history of bronchial asthma, uncontrolled congestive cardiac insufficiency, cardiogenic shock, high AV block, Raynaud phenomena, high bradycardia.
Precautions:
Severe cardiac diseases, elderly, asthma, diabetes mellitus, use of contact lenses, premature baby and new born, lactation.
Side-effects:
Visual disturbance, ocular irritation, diplopia, bradycardia, arrhythmia, hypotension, syncope, heart block, cerebral ischemia, palpitation, cardiac arrest, headache, nausea, fatigue.
Drug Interactions:
Beta blockers, Ca channel blocker, catecholamine depletors, adrenaline
Dosage and administration:
1 drop twice daily.
Packing:
Each plastic dropper bottle contains 5 ml sterile Eye Drops.
Storage ConditionsStore in a cool & dry place, protected from light, use within one month after the first opening & Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.
